Bio/History: Tanis's history is her own and wouldn't share it with anyone outside of family. She'd rather have the details of her past burned and buried if she could, finding them painful to remember.
Tanis was born in Bearsden ,a town in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. The only child of a Scandinavian mercenary, and her mother a museum curator for her family clan who later hung her herself from depression. She was often alone or left with her elders. With them she was taught the old ways. Horse back riding, Falconry, and Longsword fencing all clan traditions. At 15 Tanis was attacked on her way home one night; however, she was able to overpower the attacker since she had her weighted practice sword with her. After severely injuring them Tanis fled home, but after that night. Tanis found that she had a dark sadistic side to her and enjoyed bringing damage to others in a rather brutal way much like her Scandinavian forefathers... Eventually she moved with her father to Russia where his units security contract was bought.
At the age of 16 her father sent her to an all girl military academy so as to not be raised completely among men. Once enrolled Tanis accepted the idea of being a mercenary herself one day. It was there she met her first love and also where she first witnessed the outbreak. Sometime while the outbreak was over taking the school she lost her first lover to the infection. Over time she fell in love once more with a fellow survivor Alicia though they never actually said the words it was an unspoken thing they showed in physical wants and needs from one another forming a close bond.
After almost a year among her fellow survivors food supplies were running out. Fast. Tanis Seeking to move on took little time convincing her lover and cousin to leave the academy with her while others coward in their "havens" eating what was left. After a week of traveling the three joined a caravan of other survivors to the port, where they caught a ship to North America. Ending them up in Canada.
Two months passed during their travels and it went well enough for the trio. That would change one night when the camp was overrun and in the frenzy to escape Tanis became separated from Alicia. Forced to continue on for the sake of her cousin she only returned twice to the destroyed campsite. Both did not turn up her lover alive or truly dead. Time past and Tanis grew cold and mute coming to accept the belief she lost Alicia for good as a corpse. Tanis and Aj later came upon Ashcreek, It will either be their doom or their salvation.

Personality: Always straight to the point and never sugar coats what words she says. She is loyal to those she devotes herself to. She either has out-standing courage or the stupidity enough to be willing to face the worst. She's quick to make decisions, never trying to take on more than she really believes she can handle.

The reason to her muteness is psychological due to past reasons.She doesn't mind company, but prefers to be left alone.If you look closely at her eyes, you can see when she is happy, sad, interested and even attracted. Her body language speaks volumes and often carries conversions instead of her voice.
Thanks to the belief that bad-luck befalls anyone that get to close.This make her always come across as cold and aloof to strangers. She doesn’t anger easily unlike how she used to, but when she does, it’s quick and violent bursts that can take anyone aback.
